'It Sleeps' is a song that descended during Covid-19 lockdown during what became an extended detached state wherein founding member, producer and vocalist/guitarist The Archetype, 'came to' having created this 9 minute plus audio nightmare. By Summer of 2021, The Archetype had began working remotely with Failure drummer Kellii Scott who laid drums down for ultimately 14 tracks. 'It Sleeps' slowly looms forward with a feeling of impending dread one might find in a HP Lovecraft novel. Lurching and creeping with angular guitars spewing vomitous thick riffs culled from a slew of classic to modern influences, B. O. G. rolls through on 'It Sleeps' with an intentionally dark, seething under current of slow burn madness and eerie soundcapes drenched in a suggested cosmic terror teased at until the beast is unleashed. The first release from Beware Of Gods, 'It Sleeps' is an introduction of what is to come, the full length 5 song masterpiece 'Upon Whom The Last Light Descends'.
